I was determined to finish all of the Taster Sessions from A Year of Light with Willowing Arts by the end of the year.
Whew!
I made it!
I know I repeat myself, but I have to say again how much I've enjoyed and learned from all these teachers from around the world. Each lesson challenges me with some medium or technique or subject that is far from "normal" for me.
It feels good to simply be creative. Sometimes I'm amazed that I'm able to produce something I'm quite pleased with. Other times... well... I complete the lesson.
If you're like me, there's always a take away from each new project, whether it's a new technique learned, or realizing I don't want to make another. That is a fun variety of work!
ReplyDeleteI AM like you. Yes, there's always a take-away... and sometimes that take-away is thanks, but no thanks to do it again! Ha ha ha!
DeleteYou made some really lovely art from those classes, Helen!
ReplyDeleteThanks. It's been good for me to try different things.
DeleteI so enjoy your art shows. I think I've found a favorite, then a scroll away is another favorite.
ReplyDeleteI actually thought about you when I couldn't sleep last night. At some point I'm going to find a photo of our old house and have you paint from that. I think that dear old homestead is going to be torn down eventually. The new owners have not moved in nor have they mowed, and it is right next to a new subdivision. :(
I'd love to put that memory on canvas for you!
DeleteThanks. I go back and forth between favorites too. (I also go back and forth as to whether I even want to include a couple (or a few) of them for the world to see! Ha ha ha It's okay. We're all life-long learners here!)
