Fresh Ingredients

Remember that game called "Look and Look Again" in the kids magazine Highlights? Well, here's a chance to play it. (There are two pretty obvious and important changes and two very small ones.)
I "finished" this painting, or so I thought. I took it off the easel, got good photos made, was ready to write its blog post, then... oh, sigh...
I knew better than this. Peppers come with either 3 sections or 4 sections, not half a dozen. I had basically painted a mini pumpkin. Ugh...
Then when my Weekly-ish Challenge partner and I had our weekly chat, she said that she didn't follow the "rules" exactly since peppers weren't actually vegetables. ("Vegetables" was our challenge word.) What???
Peppers are botanically classified as fruits because they develop from a flower and contain seeds. However, in culinary contexts, they are considered vegetables due to their savory flavor and lack of sweetness.

Since we'd both done paintings with peppers, we just changed our Challenge Topic to "Peppers."  All's well that ends well!
