Daughter Nature

It is so rare that I paint "from my head" or from my imagination. I always, well, I guess almost always, have a reference photo. I have to admit that I did not have high hopes for how it would turn out... but look!  It worked, and I love her!

My Weekly-ish Challenge this time was from the box. (Every third time, we go to the cards for our challenge.)
Subject Card: Fashion
Color Card: Lemon Lime
Wild Card: Draw Another Color Card And Use The Back

Ha ha! Pretty sure I nailed it!
And, isn't she lovely walking through her blooming spring trees with her fashionable leafy dress on!

    1. Thank you! It's a fun challenge to be given words/images to put together in my own style.

  2. Oh I love this kind of 'inspiration'. We used to jave story-telling cards like that - characters, settings, etc. Great things can come out of challenging imagination - you've proven it today.

    1. Well, now I need to know what "jave storytelling cards" are! Even Google was stumped. Google asked "Did you mean "have story telling cards? or grave story-telling cards?"

  3. It really turned out well! I can hear the gentle swish of her skirt as she wanders through the lovely garden!

    1. I wonder... Do you think her leaf-skirt will turn golden or red in the fall??? I do!
