Willowing Arts: A Year of Light (November)

Well... that's the end of A Year of Light lessons.
I learned. I created. I tried. I enjoyed.
Yes, I've signed up for some lessons next year. We'll see what they bring.

I do love an owl with an attitude!
I got to use black India ink for the background.
It acts different than any type of paint I've ever used.

I've said that I can't draw way too many times.
Whenever I put effort into drawing well,
I'm always a little stunned when it works.

This was so fun to work on.
It's just collage papers cut into strips and glued down to create an image.

I decided that silver glitter didn't have to be just for kids.
That skirt!  Looks like she stepped out of the '70s!

Tear, cut, glue, paint, draw, stamp... all the things.
She's weirdly mesmerizing to me.

This one was hands down the hardest of all the lessons I've done.
Colored pencil on black paper.
Yeah, I might have cropped off half of her hands since... yikes... not successful.

  1. I thought the sunset one was a quilt! Pretty cool stuff!

    1. It was kind of put together like a quilt... Maybe I should try it again, only with fabric... Let me think about that...

  2. These are all so unique and different and attractive. The collage really appeals to me. I think the last one is stunning! It's funny what will affect someone when you think it is "not successful".

    1. That's a good point. Thanks. And, I agree about the collage. Wendy said, and I agree, it looks like a quilt.
