Do You See a Mural in My Future? (Eeeek!!!)

Last month my art studio (a.k.a. The Fonzie Room... the room above the garage) got a complete make over.  I wrote about that HERE.

Now it's Ron's turn with a new shed.
The characters in this story are the men in my life:
my husband, two brothers, brother-in-law, and dad.
First they ripped off the back of the garage!
Dad is almost 95. He was there to supervise.
He kept a pretty close eye on the boys...
... and on their work.
Yep... that's Dad using the skill saw. (... sigh...)
So many ladders...
It's always a relief when everybody's back on the ground.
Now... Walk with me.  We'll go around the garage.
There's a look inside the in-progress shed.
Here's the back wall.
Or... Is it a great big canvas?!?!
This morning I dutifully painted the whole thing the color of the house...
But...
You know I've always been a fan of Mr. Plumbean's house!
(If you haven't read The Big Orange Splot, you should probably just click on over to Amazon and get yourself a copy.)

Shall we vote?
⌧ Leave it plain.
⌧ Go for it!

If you're wondering if it would bother the neighbors...
Nope!
Just deer, raccoons, possums, squirrels, and birds.

  1. Well, I personally think that is a blank canvas just waiting for a lovely mural! Maybe it should be a progressive mural - where you add something each season or month or ?? I'll be waiting to see what you decide!

  3. I also vote for a mural! There is a gray will on the side of our house that is begging to be painted. I'm anxious to see what you end up with so I can get inspired to liven it up.

    2. Decided I’d check out your blog...a day in the life of a writer, painter, farm girl, wife, mother, grandmother, friend etc etc. I loved that book, The Big Orange Splot, and often did an art project with it where students would design and color a house based on their personality. Neighborhoods would be interesting, wouldn’t they?

    3. Welcome to little Word Weaver's little blog! I hope a post or two made you smile.
I was thinking that I should do that project... design and color a house based on my personality... then realized I've kind of been doing that for real!
