I was invited by LeeAnna of Not Afraid of Color to join her "merry little group" and share some things that I like...
We'll see if I do this correctly...

I like pulling into my driveway during autumn. Hickory trees turn the most gorgeous golden yellow. |
I like having my blog-friend Wendy of Pieceful Thoughts visit my art room. She just happened to be passing through the neighborhood... nearly 700 miles from home! |
I like this invention that is s'much more than a s'more! Graham cracker, marshmallow, 10 microwave seconds, chocolate cookie, smash! |
I like having a little friend who is never far away, although often in the way. |
I like the opportunity to sit down in front of a great big blank canvas and pull the story out of it. |
I like these five tiny humans who call me Gram-E. |
Oh yay! You're joining us for ILT posts! You do have a beautiful drive, a lovely studio and adorable grands! So glad we were able to meet!
ReplyDeleteYeah! It's good to stop and make it a priority to think of things you like. Although my drive is still beautiful, the leaves decided all at once that they were finished being yellow and turned brown. Oh, well... They were a sight to behold while they lasted.
DeleteWelcome to I Like Thursday! Your trees are beautiful! Definitely sounds fun to have Wendy come to visit. And your version of s'mores sounds yummy!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! It's good to take a minute to think about all the good things! Yeah... the s'much more than s'mores... so good!
DeleteGosh now I'm tempted to join in the fun! You and Wendy would probably get into trouble if you lived close ;) Your "s'much more" looks delish and not as messy. Your grands are little!
ReplyDeleteLinda, it's always good to have an excuse to stop and think of all the things you like and enjoy. I bet LeeAnna would love to have you. As for my sweet babies... by the time the oldest turns 4 in January, our 6th will be ready to join us! Blessings indeed!
DeleteWelcome! This is Judy at BusyHandsAreHappyHands! My iPad is finicky and won’t let me post to some blogs ! Don’t know why! You have a gorgeous driveway and I like the s’more variation! Yum-o!
ReplyDeleteOh, I do not like when technology gets the upper hand! I'm glad you found a way around it.
DeleteWe do love our trees no matter what season, but fall is something else around here.
ooooo and orange cat. I love orange cats! I wrote a short story about 4 cats, who nurtured me after my beloved poodle Cole passed, and called it "Litter of Extroverts" They lived in 4 different homes, but walked with me for some reason, for a few months. A blessing.
ReplyDeletethat is a welcome home sight for sure
LeeAnna
The entrance to my drive is still beautiful although one day last week all the leaves had a meeting and decided it was time to leave yellow behind and turn brown.
DeleteMy funny yellow cat is never far from where ever I am. He's a keeper.
So much to like here! Your driveway (how lovely to be welcomed home like that), your kitty, and blog friends!
ReplyDeleteYeah... we love our trees in every season. The leaves were so bright yellow, but they've finished that and all brown now. Oh, but how lovely to crunch through them on the ground!
DeleteOh, how blessed to have five lovely grandchildren!
ReplyDeleteYes, ma'am! Blessed beyond measure. And in a few short weeks we'll have one more!
DeleteHi Helen!! Welcome to the Thursday group. Any friend of Wendy's is a friend of mine - she's a good egg! Your kitty looks so friendly - what is his name? Oh goodness, Gram-E. Aren't all five of them just the best thing ever?!! I'm so glad you are able to join us. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to be your friend! Buff-Kitty is his name. He's quite a character. Those five little ones are going to be joined by a sixth in just a few short weeks! We are blessed beyond measure!
DeleteThat s'more cookie looks good. That painting looks cool!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! It was a fun one to work on... and yeah, I've probably eaten a few of those s'more cookies... or maybe a lot!
DeleteOh yes! I would love driving into your driveway, too! Absolutely gorgeous! You and Wendy look so happy! I’ll have to try that recipe for s’mores! Looks delish! Such a cute kitty; she looks at you with so much love. How I admire the creations coming from and artist’s hands! Cute pic of your grandbabies! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! It's good to be reminded of so much good!
DeleteWelcome, Helen! I think you did a great I Like Thurs post. The grandbabies are always welcomed on the blog and I think it's neat that you know Wendy. I admire her work! See you next week!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Susie!
